Hourglasses
Beauty at any time of day
I originally pitched a series of product features, for various kinds of time-keeping pieces, as something easy that we could art with pick up. When we researched the hourglasses for the first in this series, they were just too beautiful to leave as pick up, so we decided to shoot them. We were inspired by the light at the different hours of the day, so each hourglass is highlighted from morning light, to sunrise, all the way to evening and midnight using the colored sweeps and the genius, Nelson Murray, setting the light to reflect those various hours of the day.
This story won a Merit in the SPD 57 Competition.
