Making it work
Editorial designers know what it’s like when you’re given a story without much there there. This was one of those stories, a short bit of text and an idea around this watch being novel or strange. The photoshoot for this story didn’t work out, so we had to reverse engineer something out of this photograph. After some research, I was able to learn how to create this mirror repeat and alpha-channel shift effect that gives the impression of a fun-house mirror. A “make it work” moment.
